Redevelop Our Area Responsibly (ROAR)
Regina Tobin

Dear Ms. Tobin and ROAR Organizers,

The Downtown Residents' Association of Columbus shares ROAR's concerns regarding the proposed raceway to be built at Cooper Stadium. We are writing in support of ROAR's efforts to study the impact of the proposed project, and to help galvanize the effort to find other suitable options for the site.

The residents of Downtown Columbus and nearby neighborhoods are greatly concerned about the possibility of excessive noise, pollution, and the overall negative impact that a raceway so near to these areas may generate.

Downtown Columbus' highly anticipated new green spaces, the Scioto Mile and the Scioto Audubon Metro Park, which will offer acres of outdoor space for residents to enjoy, may also be impacted by the noise and air pollution generated by a raceway in such close proximity. Therefore, an in-depth impact study is critical before the Franklin County Commissioners move forward wit the proposed raceway plan.

Thank you for your effort to inform the community about the issues related to the proposed raceway. Please share his letter with all ROAR organizers, and any other interested party.

Sincerely,

Kevin E. Wood, President
