ARSHOT ANNOUNCES PROCESS FOR NOISE IMPACT STUDY

In recent news articles, Arshot Investments' attorney, John Kennedy, has said Arshot will conduct a noise impact study before proceeding with development of the Cooper Stadium speedway.

The process for identifying the acoustical firm responsible for the study will be as such: a selection committee will be formed made up of representatives from various city and county government offices. The role of the selection committee is to narrow the field of possible firms down to three viable candidates. Arshot will then select the winning firm.

This advisory committee will be composed of representatives from:

>City of Columbus Dept of Development -- to be selected by Director Safford

>Columbus City Council -- to be selected by President Mentel

>Franklin County Economic Development and Planning Dept.

>Southwest Area Commission

>Franklinton Board of Trade

>the developer

Because the accuracy of the noise impact study is such an important issue, ROAR Columbus will also be hiring an acoustical firm to conduct a noise impact study. If both studies follow standard methodologies and are conducted fairly, the results should be similar.
